Davison Building & Development, LLC (DBD) is seeking a skilled Carpenter / Construction Specialist to support a wide range of commercial and industrial projects in Southeast Michigan. The role involves framing, finish carpentry, and general site work, with duties spanning from layout to installation and maintenance across diverse facilities.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on carpentry experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Verifiable hands-on experience in commercial or industrial carpentry or related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Knowledge of building codes, materials, layout techniques, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing (wood and light-gauge metal stud), drywall, doors, trim, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.
• Execute cross-trade tasks: painting, patching, masonry repairs, ceiling installs, siding/flooring repairs.
• Support maintenance, renovations, and tenant improvements across properties.
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate layout and execution.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Assess challenges and adapt methods to stay on schedule and budget.
