Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking an experienced Carpenter for the BTX/Terminal F Concrete project in Dallas, Texas. You will construct, erect, and install wood structures using hand and power tools on heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and fitting components, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and quality. A 3–5 year track record is preferred; local candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Capable of complying with all safety policies; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on the working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drainage structures, walls and more.
• May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
• Uses carpenter's belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking machinery.
