Job summary

Sacramento City Unified School District is seeking a full-time carpenter to support its facilities department. The role requires a high school diploma and a four-year carpenter apprenticeship or equivalent, with preference for five years of journey-level carpentry experience.

A valid California Class C driver's license with proof of insurance is required, plus tools and safety readiness. The position is 1.0 FTE, full-time Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, year-round within Sacramento.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school, and four-year carpenter apprenticeship program or equivalent. Five years of journey level carpentry experience preferred.

Licenses And Other Requirements

Hold a valid California Class C driver's license, and provide proof of insurance; employee entrance evaluation (lifting test); furnish own hand tools; and complete physical examination for wearing respirator. Attend asbestos awareness training within six months of employment
