Job summary

Red House Remodeling seeks a motivated Carpenter Apprentice / Laborer to join our Des Moines metro design-build team. You’ll receive direct mentoring from skilled craftsmen on residential remodeling projects, from kitchens to whole-home renovations.

You’ll learn core carpentry skills and support daily site tasks while developing reliability, a strong work ethic, and pride in precision craftsmanship within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in basic residential construction or related hands-on work.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and show initiative.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation to Des Moines metro.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead carpenters with daily tasks on residential remodeling job sites.
• Help with job site setup, staging materials, and keeping areas clean and safe.
• Learn framing, demolition, trim, window/door installation, and hardware mounting.
