Job summary

Basin Holdings LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to perform daily tasks under the plant manager's supervision. The role covers corrugated and wood processes, material handling, packaging, and general shop duties.

You will stage materials, maintain safety practices, complete time and quantity paperwork, and contribute to on-time production. Forklift certification or the willingness to obtain it is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in operation and maintenance of wood cutting and/or assembly equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to solve problems and think clearly in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers and customers.
• Current forklift certification or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Feed Corrugated machine.
• Fold Inserts.
• Package product.
• Cut wood to length on saw per work orders.
• Assemble skids and crates per work orders.
• Move raw materials and finished product with hand trucks or forklift.
• Stage raw materials for assembly.
• Package finished goods for shipment.
• Stock completed items in the appropriate place.
• Complete and turn in paperwork including Actual quantity and Time sheets.
• Clean up work area (corrugated/wood/General Shop).
• Forklift operation (once certified).
• Assist other work areas as required to complete production requirements.
• Safety: Safe operation of equipment; eye & hearing protection.

Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for executing the daily tasks assigned by the plant manager.

Essential Functions:

Corrugated:

• Feed Corrugated machine
• Fold Inserts
• Package product

Wood:

• Cut wood to length on saw per work orders
• Assemble skids and crates per work orders

General:

• Move raw materials and finished product with hand trucks or forklift (see forklift note below)
• Stage raw materials for assembly
• Package finished goods for shipment
• Stock completed items in the appropriate place
• Complete and turn in paperwork including
  • Actual quantity
  • Time sheets
• Clean up work area (corrugated/wood/General Shop)

Other Responsibilities

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
