As a Carpenter 1, you will perform skilled work in the carpentry and structural trades. This will include carpentry, masonry, plastering, painting, roofing, flooring, and concrete work. In this position, you will repair and install doors, locks, and windows. You will repair and replace a broad range of building items, equipment, furniture, and other hardware. You may be required to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, or manufacturers’ recommendations to lay out and complete job assignments. You can expect to lay out and construct or repair walls, ceilings, and floors. Additionally, you may serve as a lead worker for semi-skilled or laborer workers.
