We're currently hiring a Carpenter to join our field team. This is a traveling position, supporting projects across the 34+ states where we operate. If you're committed to quality craftsmanship and take pride in building great things with a great team - Let's talk Zernco.
What You'll Do:
- Construct, install, and repair commercial structures including doors, floors, walls, windows, cabinetry, roofs, stairways, and kitchen equipment
- Perform both rough and finish carpentry on commercial job sites
- Install drywall, insulation, tile, trim, siding, and other materials according to job specifications
- Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment including saws, drills, planers, joiners, sanders, and other power/hand tools
- Install locks, knobs, hinges, closures, and other door and window hardware
- Inspect and ensure all work meets building codes and Zernco's quality standards
- Build and dismantle forms for concrete pours; erect and disassemble scaffolding, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite daily - housekeeping is a shared team priority
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, delivering to appropriate work locations as directed
- Attend and actively participate in weekly safety meetings
- Perform work in compliance with all OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols
- Report safety concerns or hazards to your Superintendent immediately
- Travel to job sites nationwide; Zernco commits to getting traveling team members home twice per month whenever possible

What We're Looking For:
- Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100%
- 1-3 years of commercial carpentry experience (or equivalent training)
- OSHA 10 (or ability to complete within 60 days)
- Valid driver's license
- Preferred: Forklift, bobcat, or lift certifications; CPR/First Aid certified
- Familiarity with commercial building codes, construction methods, and safety standards
- Physically capable of manually digging, dragging, pushing, pulling various materials and objects up to 50lbs
