Complete Building Services (CBS) is seeking a Carpenter to perform general building maintenance and carpentry repairs in our Washington, DC area facilities. The role includes installing and repairing fixtures, doors, drywall, and furniture, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, 5 years of related experience, and is able to lift 60 pounds and climb ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

The Carpenter is responsible for performing general building maintenance and carpentry repairs, including repairing acoustical ceilings and tiles, doors, drywall, and furntiture.

Responsibilities include:

• Hanging pictures
• Installing and repairing blinds
• Completing various carpentry projects
• Operates woodworking tools and equipment in the woodshop as well as electric handhand tools to perform repairs, modifications, and installations safely and efficiently
• Diagnose and repair building system problems as assigned by work control
• Provide direction and support to sub-contractors designated to perform repair of doors and associated equipment and/or hardware
• Interface with building managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
• Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
• Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Shift/Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Salary: $30-$35 depending on experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass government background check
• Completion of 4-year Carpenter Apprentice or equivalent training program preferred
• Completed coursework inconstructiontradesareas
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience with building systems
• Valid drivers license with reliable transportation
• Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
• Capable of climbing ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
