Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group project at Denton Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility in Roanoke, TX. You will construct, install, and finish wooden structures on heavy civil sites, using hand tools and power equipment.

The role requires 3–5 years of verifiable carpentry experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a safety‑conscious mindset. Equal opportunity employer. On-site work with travel possible.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridge, drain structures, walls, and additional structures.
• May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
• Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery.

OVERVIEW

Archer Western Construction, LLC is currently seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group/Denton Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility , in Roanoke, TX.

The Carpenter constructs, erects, installs structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.
