Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, be able to perform precise measurements, and collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and drywall installers to meet project timelines. A high school diploma or equivalent and apprenticeship training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in carpentry techniques and reading blueprints.
• Ability to perform measurements, calculations, and geometry for precise cuts.
• Capable of lifting heavy materials and working on ladders in a demanding schedule.
• Excellent dexterity and precision with hand and power tools.
• Identify and resolve on-site construction issues and adapt to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, determine layout, dimensions, and material needs.
• Measure, cut, and shape lumber with hand and power tools to exact specs.
• Build and install structural components including walls, floors, ceilings, and roof framing.
• Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and interior finishes with attention to alignment.
• Safely access elevated areas, inspect work for codes and safety standards.
• Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and drywall installers to maintain timelines.

Some Things You Can Expect To Do

• Accurately read and understand construction blueprints, sketches, and plans to determine layout, dimensions, and material requirements for each project.
• Measure, cut, and shape lumber using hand tools (saws, chisels, planes) and power tools (table saws, miter saws, drills) to precise specifications.
• Build and install structural components like walls, floors, ceilings, and roof framing, ensuring proper alignment and squareness using levels, plumb bobs, and framing squares.
• Install doors, windows, trim, moldings, cabinetry, and other interior finishes with attention to detail and alignment.
• Create wooden forms for concrete pouring, including walls, columns, and beams, ensuring proper shape and support.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding to access elevated work areas safely.
• Regularly inspect work to guarantee compliance with building codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
• Properly store and manage lumber, hardware, and other construction materials on the job site.
• Work effectively with other construction crew members, including electricians, plumbers, and drywall installers, to coordinate project timelines.

You Will Really Stand Out If You Have
