Aerotek is seeking a skilled carpenter for a contract-to-hire role in North Charleston, SC, focusing on building custom wood windows, doors, and millwork. You will interpret blueprints, cut and assemble components, and ensure quality before shipment.

Work in a fast-paced indoor shop from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., using woodworking machinery and hand tools, collaborating with production teams to meet schedules and uphold safety standards in premium residential and commercial projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in carpentry, cabinetmaking, millwork, woodworking, or finish carpentry.
• Ability to safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn specialized manufacturing processes.
• Experience with construction, framing, trim work, and rough carpentry.
• Knowledge of windows and doors fabrication.

Work Environment

The work environment is an indoor manufacturing and production facility operating from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will be part of a team-based shop environment that is fast-paced and focused on custom fabrication. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when operating machinery and handling materials, and the role involves a combination of independent work and collaboration with production teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr.
