Job summary

Yellowstone Local is seeking a skilled Carpenter for commercial projects in Louisville, Kentucky, focusing on medical facilities and Class A office spaces. You will perform finish carpentry, install cabinetry, millwork, and casework with precision, reading blueprints and project documents to ensure high-quality results.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, overtime opportunities, medical insurance with employer contribution after 60 days, optional dental

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial carpentry or trim carpentry.
• Hands-on experience installing cabinetry, millwork and casework.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Experience with metal stud framing and rough carpentry is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willing to travel to sites.
• Detail-oriented with professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Install cabinetry, millwork, and casework with accuracy.
• Complete finish carpentry including doors, frames, and trim.
• Read blueprints and project documents.
• Support layout, rough carpentry, demolition, and framing as needed.
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades.
• Travel to active commercial job sites throughout Louisville, Lexington, and Southern Indiana.
• Contribute to healthcare facility and office build-outs in Louisville.

Your New Role

• Install commercial cabinetry, millwork, and casework with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Complete finish carpentry work involving doors, frames, trim, and hardware.

• Read and follow blueprints, construction drawings, and project documents.

• Support layout, rough carpentry, demolition, and metal stud framing as project needs require.

• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe while completing assigned work.

• Coordinate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and other skilled trades.

• Travel to active commercial construction job sites throughout Louisville, Lexington, and Southern Indiana.

• Complete commercial carpentry for healthcare facilities and office build-outs in Louisville, Kentucky.

• Bring 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial carpentry or trim carpentry.

• Have hands-on experience installing cabinetry, millwork, and casework.

• Understand proper installation methods for doors, frames, and hardware.

• Have experience with metal stud framing and rough carpentry.

• Be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.

• Drywall finishing experience is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and professional conduct on the jobsite.

• Be comfortable working independently and as part of a construction team.

• Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned job sites.
