Smugglers in Vermont is seeking an in-house carpenter to construct, install, maintain, and repair wooden and structural elements around the resort. This is a year-round, full-time role that emphasizes quality craftsmanship and practical problem-solving.

You will prepare layouts, select lumber and materials, conform to local building codes, fit windows and doors, install trim and hardware, and inspect for damage.

Job description

We are seeking an in-house carpenter to construct, install, maintain, and repair physical structures around the resort. This is a year-round, full-time position. Pay commensurate with experience.

• Sheetrocking, taping, & painting.
• Prepare layouts, select specified type of lumber or other materials, and conform to local building codes.
• Provides consultation for designs, renovations, and projects of any size. can include fire regulations, costs, planning's, scheduling, building codes, and safety considerations.
• Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, sheetrock, and interior/exterior trim. Fits and installs finish hardware, such as locks, letter drops, and kick plates.
• Inspects buildings for damage and wear, schedules maintenance and regulates work.
• Team player and follows instructions well
