Job summary

Tradesmen International in the Jacksonville, FL area is immediately hiring Journeyman Carpenters for projects located in St. Johns County.

This first shift opportunity offers compensation ($28/hour) based on experience and skill level, with an emphasis on safety, productivity, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities include layout and install metal stud framing, drywall cutting, corner bead, using levels and layout tools, following blueprints, and general framing tasks to support quality

Qualifications

• Experience with metal framing and drywall installation.
• Able to perform layout and take accurate measurements.
• Must bring your own tools for the trade.
• PPE such as boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves required.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install metal stud framing for walls, partitions, and ceilings.
• Measure and cut drywall around openings.
• Install corner bead and adjust drywall as needed.
• Use levels, lasers, and layout tools to ensure accuracy.
• Follow blueprints and jobsite instructions.
• Perform general framing and drywall-related tasks as needed.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Carpenters for projects located in or around St. Johns County, FL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Layout and install metal stud framing for walls, partitions, and ceilings
• Measure and cut drywall around doors, windows, outlets, and other openings
• Install corner bead and make necessary drywall adjustments
• Use levels, lasers, tape measures, and layout tools to ensure walls are straight, level, and plumb
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and jobsite instructions
• Perform general framing and drywall-related tasks as needed

Requirements

• Previous metal framing and drywall installation experience
• Ability to perform layout and take accurate measurements
• Must have your own tools for the trade
• Must have required PPE, including work boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
