Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a skilled Carpenter to build rough wooden structures and forms on commercial construction projects in Texas. You will interpret sketches and blueprints to construct forms, scaffolds, blocking, and supports on-site.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with concrete forms, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform outdoors in all weather. You must provide your own basic tools and comply with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3 years Commercial Construction Carpenter experience preferred. Experience with vertical and horizontal concrete forms, and gang forms preferred
• Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work in outside all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Construct rough wooden structures per sketches/blueprints (forms, scaffolds, and supports).
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a drug-free environment.
• Provide own tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, pouch).
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a Carpenter. Below are the main responsibilities for this position.

(This description may not include all duties required of this position)

• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
• Must be able to provide own tools including, but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch.
• May be required to work in outside all weather conditions

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
