Job Summary
Join our team as a skilled carpenter, where you'll engage in a variety of
tasks including the fabrication, repair, restoration, and installation
of wood and other materials. You'll have the opportunity to plan,
oversee, and execute exciting remodeling projects, showcasing your
craftsmanship and attention to detail. If you're passionate about carpentry

Responsibilities
Assist supervisor and lead carpenter in planning and estimating remodeling
projects; serve as on-site supervisor, order all supplies and perform
rough and finish carpentry work on projects.
Fabricate, repair, restore, and install floors, doors,
windows, stairways, walls, furniture, cabinets, shelves, signs and roofs.
Identify and perform routine maintenance tasks on existing structures
throughout the campus.
Design and fabricate special work from a variety of metals and plastics.
Maintain and resupply stock levels of lumber, hardware and related
materials.
Record and enter all time and material costs into TMA work order system.
Remain up-to-date on required safety and equipment training.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalency plus a minimum of 4 years related
experience or a combination of higher education and work experience;
Experience In Carpentry, Cabinetmaking Skills And Wood Finishing
techniques; knowledge of blueprint reading; basic knowledge in welding;
knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions; knowledge of and
ability to use a personal computer; ability to communicate effectively and
develop positive relationships with people from different cultural
backgrounds; ability to operate maintenance vehicles, hand and power
tools, and basic carpentry tools. Must be in good physical condition;
ability to stand for long periods of time; exerts in excess of 100 pounds of
force occasionally, in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently lifting and
moving objects; frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching; occasional
climbing of ladders and scaffolds; frequent carrying of loads up and down
stairs; works in all weather conditions and in very dusty, noisy
conditions; occasionally exposed to chemicals and solvents; good vision
and hea
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that
is insurable by Colorado College's motor vehicle insurance carrier.

Position requires driving CC vehicles (drivers must be eligible for
coverage under CC's insurance plan)

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range
$22.30 to $26.75 per hour
