Job summary

PeopleReady is seeking a Carpenter in Exeter, NH to join our team for residential or commercial carpentry projects. You will read blueprints, measure accurately, and craft and install wood components using hand and power tools.

The position offers 1st shift daytime hours, competitive hourly pay, and the option of steady or short-term assignments. Applicants should be at least 18 and have 2–5 years of carpentry experience, with basic math and blueprint reading skills.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Use various tools to cut and craft wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Employ hand tools such as squares, levels, and chisels, and power tools like sanders, circular saws, nail guns, and welding machines.
• Fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives, and perform a final check to ensure accuracy.
• Use a tape measure on nearly every project to reduce waste and ensure that cut pieces are the correct size.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $21 - $21 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Carpenter:

Job Requirements:

• Capable of repeatedly lifting 50 pounds to load and unload wood and other materials, as well as transport tools and materials to and from the jobsite
