Job summary

Czarnowski Collective in Colorado is seeking a Scenic Carpenter to join Colorado’s largest themed scenic manufacturing company. You will fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths, work with the Shop Manager on projects, and help lead the carpentry aspects of the fabrication process.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of fabrication experience with wood, plastic, and metal, own basic carpentry tools, read CAD drawings, and be able to lift, climb, and work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality

Qualifications

• 2+ years fabrication experience in wood, plastic or metal.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, climbing and standing.
• Own basic carpentry tools.
• Able to read CAD drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager.
• Support assigned fabrication projects to back exhibit assets.
• Assist with exhibit development and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process.
• Construct carts and/or crates to ensure safe transportation of exhibitions.
• Adapt to changing priorities and work overtime when required.
• Handle heights; ladder work is common.
• Carry heavy equipment manually or with required tools.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Purpose:

Tired of building just boxes?? We are looking for Scenic Carpenters to join Colorado’s largest themed scenic custom manufacturing company.

As a Scenic Carpenter you will be responsible for the carpentry aspects of exhibit fabrication, including completing on time, on budget, and maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and professional communication. You will work indoors and sometimes in tight spaces and must be able to adapt to conditions and circumstances. You’ll work with various hand tools and must keep their tools and worksite in a clean, safe condition. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organizational skills.

The Job:

• Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager
• Work with the Shop Manager on assigned fabrication projects to support the exhibit assets
• Assist with exhibit development and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process
• Constructing carts and/or crates that ensure the safe transportation of exhibitions
• Adaptability and ability to change priorities as they dynamically shift
• Handle heights as necessary; ladder work is common
• Carry heavy equipment manually or using necessary equipment as applicable
• Perform all other duties as assigned

The Person:

• 2+ years of experience in fabrication using wood, plastic and metal, or related work; being a talented hobbyist counts
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing or walking
• Must have own basic carpentry tools
• Well versed in various finished work such a laminate, melamine and moldings
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and diagrams and adhere to quality building standards and specifications
• Basic knowledge of math and measurements
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while keeping great attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment; works well with Project Managers, Detailers and Senior Management
• Must be able to work 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday during peek seasons (Oct - May); non-peek work schedule will typically be a 40 hour week
• Available to work overtime and on weekends

Colorado Salary and Benefit Statement:

The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any salary offered is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience.

Colorado Salary Range: $20-$29 per hour

This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.
