JBD Builders is hiring a carpenter looking to improve their craft and grow with the company. JBD Builders is a small residential general contracting company based out of Cranford, NJ. We self-perform framing and finish carpentry. We pride ourselves on doing things the right way.

Job Description

• Assist with rough carpentry - including layout, framing, installing doors and windows
• Assist with finish carpentry - including installing siding, exterior trim, cabinetry and moldings
• Perform general housekeeping to provide the best project appearance and to eliminate safety hazards.
• Work with subcontractors to facilitate job progress
• Review work to ensure it is in accordance with construction drawings
• Need to be able to work alone and with others.
• Communication - English does not need to be your first language, but you should be able to understand and communicate basic information.
• Punctuality - Show up every day, on time.
• Presentation - We are professionals. We present ourselves as professionals.

Job Requirements

• Own basic hand tools
• Transportation - Although we work primarily in the Cranford area, some jobs will take us to other locations (within 30 min drive).
