Responsibilities include installing and repairing doors, frames, windows, cabinetry, flooring, and trim; reading blueprints; estimating materials; and adhering to OSHA and building codes.

The Carpenter will complete skilled carpentry projects, preventive maintenance, capital improvements, and emergency repairs and must be able to travel between multiple Chicago locations.
This position is paid according to the applicable Davis-Bacon wage determination, including required hourly wages and fringe benefits.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be frequently exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock while in the field. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally high and usually moderate.
Must be able to stand, climb, bend, kneel, and work from ladders or scaffolding. Must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift heavier materials with appropriate assistance. Work may occur indoors and outdoors and may include exposure to construction-related dust, noise, equipment, and varying weather conditions.
