Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced tradesperson with strong carpentry abilities who is also comfortable supporting a variety of home‑improvement and repair projects. The Carpenter will work in basements, attics, and other areas of residential homes, delivering high‑quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Functions
Primary Carpentry Work
  • Build and install basement staircases (typically 3–4 steps).
  • Complete drywall installation, taping, mudding, and basic painting.
  • Frame and construct new walls.
  • Remove, rebuild, and install built‑in shelving or cabinetry.
Additional Project Support
  • Installing window well covers.
  • Supporting attic insulation projects.
  • Assisting with PolyLevel work as needed.
  • Providing general labor and jobsite support to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Other assistance on ad hoc construction projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in carpentry, framing, drywall, or general construction.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Comfort working in basements, crawlspaces, and attics.
  • Willingness to assist with non‑carpentry tasks as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience

Preferred trades school and 2-3 years of field experience performing home improvement maintenance or 5+ years of field experience in lieu of apprenticeship.
