Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Equipment Operator (Tech 4) in our Carlin Open Pit Mining Operations department.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Proficiently operate support equipment.
Understand inspections and operating systems; use proper operating techniques to maximize production and equipment lifespan; properly use equipment to prevent wheel or track spin; learn CAES screen and its functions; use proper ripping techniques.
Communicate effectively with loading units and truck drivers as needed.
Respond to spill rock calls, maintain travel ways, demonstrate competency in sloping practices, maintain grade, and take responsibility for safe, efficient operation of work areas. Be competent in ore control flagging and follow proper cleanup procedures at loading units. Demonstrate leadership skills.
Perform dump and road maintenance, understanding the impact of ground conditions, berm height, grade, drainage, and cross slopes.
Demonstrate safe work performance and hold others accountable.
Work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential requirement.
