Job summary

Caring Senior Service is seeking dependable caregivers to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home care to seniors in their homes in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and companionship while promoting safety and dignity.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and professional, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Compassionate caregiver with a genuine desire to help seniors.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in all interactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
• Prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required.
• CNA certification is welcome depending on state rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, nutrition, household tasks, and transportation.
• Monitor client health and report concerns following care plans.
• Document and communicate care activities and observations.
• Promote safety and fall prevention in the home.

Position Summary

The Caregiver provides personalized non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes. This role focuses on improving quality of life, ensuring safety, assisting with activities of daily living, and offering emotional support while treating every client with dignity and respect.

Caregivers are expected to be reliable, compassionate, patient, and professional while representing Caring Senior Service in the community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Personal Care Assistance

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Provide incontinence care when needed
• Help clients maintain a safe and clean environment
• Companion Care
• Meal Preparation & Nutrition
• Household Support
• Transportation & Errands

Safety & Observation

• Monitor changes in client condition and report concerns promptly
• Follow care plans and company procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication
• Promote a safe environment and help prevent falls

Qualifications

• Compassionate heart and desire to help seniors
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist clients safely
• Ability to lift and transfer clients when necessary
• Ability to perform household tasks and transportation duties
