Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Transporter to support patient movement across departments. You will verify patient identity, assist with transport equipment, and ensure proper infection control while maintaining patient comfort and safety during each transfer.

Responsibilities include communicating with nursing staff, cleaning equipment between transports, and complying with all code of ethics and hospital policies. Experience preferred; BLS certification required within 90 days.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS through American Heart Association (or within 90 days of employment).
• At least 1 year of patient transport experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Transport patients as assigned with safety and patient comfort in mind.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
• Disinfect and wipe down transport equipment between transports.
• Assist patients onto transport equipment and coordinate with care staff as needed.
• Notify nursing or ancillary personnel on arrival/departure of patients.
• Maintain infection control practices and proper PPE usage.
