Job summary

Garnet Health Medical Center Middletown is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with routine tasks, mobility, and comfort to promote safe, efficient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Minimum education includes a Nursing Assistant Program; 1 year of acute care experience is preferred. A current BLS certification and Crisis Intervention training are required, with on-site work in the Hudson Valley region.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent preparation and/or experience.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of prior acute care experience preferred or CNA or completion of first clinical course in RN/LPN program.
• Required Certification/Registration: CNA certificate preferred if experience is minimal; BLS certification current and ongoing; Internal Crisis Intervention training required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care tasks and unit duties under direction of a Registered Nurse/Licensed Professional Nurse.
• Demonstrates ability to assist with mobility, hygiene, vital signs, and comfort measures.
• Maintains patient safety, communicates effectively with the care team and supports rapid, accurate documentation.
