Garnet Health Medical Center Middletown is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our 5 South team. The Nursing Assistant performs assigned patient care tasks and supports the unit under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification current and ongoing.
• Internal Crisis Intervention training required.
• *Float Pool: must attend hospital crisis training program within three (3) months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care tasks and other unit duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
