Job summary

Louisa Health & Rehabilitation Center in Louisa, Virginia, a 90-bed facility, is seeking energetic Dining Services Associates and Cooks to join our foodservice team. Primary duties include food preparation for regular and modified diet trays, tray delivery, and assisting with serving patients.

Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions; prior dietary experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate, read, comprehend, understand, and write messages, and follow directions is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of kitchen duties as assigned.
• Assemble prepared foods for regular or modified diet trays and deliver trays to serving areas.
• May prepare and serve between meal snacks for patients.
• May work the tray line, tend and load machines that clean food service items, or hand wash items that are not machine washable.
• May clean floors, work areas, tables, and cabinets.
