Job summary

Meadowbrook Senior Living in Prairie Village, KS seeks a Dining Room Server to support meal service, bussing, and dining area cleaning. You will take orders, assist residents, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Requirements include being 16 or older, English literacy, and a customer-focused attitude. Some food service experience is preferred; ability to learn kitchen tasks and work while standing for portions of shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down.
• Some experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu.
• Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled.
• Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished.
• Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned
