Job summary

Countryside Mental Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in the kitchen area before, during, and after meals, and to help maintain clean work areas and equipment for efficient meal service.

You will support cooks, help serve meals, prepare nourishment snacks, and perform routine cleaning while following safety and infection control policies to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.
• Must be able to lift/carry loads as described in physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen area before, during and after meals.
• Maintain kitchen areas and keep equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Assist in serving meals and pouring beverages.
• Prepare and serve in-between meal nourishment snacks.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure sanitation and safety policies are followed.
• Follow safety regulations and infection control procedures.
