Charleston Healthcare Group is seeking a Dietary Service Staff member to prepare and serve meals for residents, following approved menus and recipes. The role emphasizes cleanliness, proper food handling, and supporting the dietary team in a compassionate elder care setting.

The position requires willingness to work weekends/holidays, comply with health screenings, and adapt to varying tasks while maintaining safety and nutrition standards for residents.

Formación

• Six months experience in dietary services preferable but not essential.
• On-the-job training with supervision and ability to perform duties.
• Knowledge of quality food preparation and service.
• Some knowledge of food service equipment and cleaning equipment.
• Interest in learning, cooperative attitude, and ability to work under supervision.
• Adheres to policies and completes tasks timely and efficiently.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Pre-employment and annual TB screening and health certificate as required.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to directives from Dietary Supervisor, Administrator, or Director of Nurses.
• Keep the dietary area clean and sanitary.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in working with the elderly.
• Perform routine tasks with interruptions and maintain communication with staff.
• Stock, prepare meals, assemble trays, and serve meals per approved menus.
• Report equipment problems and maintain records of food and supplies.
• Attend in-service programs as scheduled and perform other duties as assigned.
