Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal service for residents and guests. The role includes serving food, dishwashing, and light housekeeping in dining areas.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, can work independently or in a team, and adheres to HIPAA and infection control policies. Training will cover therapeutic diets and safe food handling.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in a friendly manner to residents and coworkers in English.
• Comfort in working in a Christian Retirement Center environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve food to residents and guests in dining areas.
• Wash dishes and perform general dish room cleanup.
• Assist with housekeeping in dining areas and maintain sanitation.
• Deliver plates and other food supplies to floors.
• Prepare, sort and label nourishments and snacks.
• Follow infection control and waste management procedures.
• Safeguard privacy and confidentiality of resident information per HIPAA.
