Job summary

Aperion Care is looking for a Dietary Aide to assist in all food functions, following established policies and procedures. The role involves preparing and serving meals per menus and special diets, while maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions and infection control standards.

The incumbent will assist with snack preparation, transport of carts and trays, and dining room service, ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and protect safety.
• Must be patient, tactful, cheerful and able to handle residents appropriately.
• Must be willing to incorporate new methods and principles into food practices.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare and serve meals per planned menus with standardized recipes and special diets.
• Maintain a clean and safe department; ensure infection control precautions are followed.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning; ensure utensils are available for next meal.
• Prepare and deliver snacks and meals; transport food carts and trays; serve in dining room; sweep/mop kitchen areas.
