Job summary

Belle Care Center is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to perform a variety of food service functions and assist in food preparation while ensuring sanitary conditions in the dining area. The role includes delivering meals, serving residents, and supporting cleaning duties.

Candidates should be able to read and follow directions in English, with prior food service experience helpful. Hourly rate is $16, with benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food.
• Working knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.
• Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing manner.
• Possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Reports at assigned time, in uniform, ready for duty.
• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Is aware of safety regulations and responsibilities in operating all equipment.
• Delivers food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas, including resident rooms and dining room, as instructed by supervisor.
• Serve – in dining rooms.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as directed.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to department supervisor.
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
• Performs related work as assigned.
