Job summary

Arcadia-Ltc- is seeking a Dietary Aide to support all food functions in accordance with established policies. You will prepare and serve meals per menus and dietary orders, ensuring sanitation and safety throughout food service.

The role requires reading and understanding English, a patient demeanor, and willingness to learn new methods in food practices. You will assist with dishwashing, delivering snacks, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must maintain supplies and cleanliness to ensure sanitation and safety.
• Must be patient, tactful and cheerful when interacting with residents.
• Must be willing to adopt new methods into current food practices.
• Must not pose a direct health or safety threat in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals per planned menus with standardized recipes and special diets.
• Prepare and serve residents' bedtime snacks and substitute foods as needed; ensure sanitary food prep.
• Maintain department cleanliness and ensure equipment and supplies are stocked.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning, deliver snacks, carts and trays; serve in dining rooms; sweep/mop floors.
