Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean kitchen while interacting positively with residents and staff.

The role requires following dietary restrictions, adherence to safety policies, and strong teamwork to support excellent resident experiences. This on-site position offers benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and effective communication with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
