Job summary

Korn Ferry in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a seasoned Business System Analyst to bridge business needs and technology. You will translate requirements, analyze data, and model processes, working with stakeholders, IT staff, project managers, developers and UX designers.

This role emphasizes documenting functional requirements, performing gap analyses, and guiding system enhancements across WMS integrations, data mappings and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Business Analysis or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience as a Business System Analyst or equivalent experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support business needs.
• Proficiency in software such as Manhattan Scale, 3G-TMS, Cargowise One, Adena, etc.
• EDI knowledge and proficiency with data mapping.
• Experience strategizing, improving processes and operational decision-making based on data.
• Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
• Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and chart data from the business & industry including KPI's, financial reports and other key metrics
• Liaise between various business departments and groups to provide data analysis, gather information and provide solutions
• Implementations & Integrations with WMS Systems
• Assess options for process improvements including business process modeling
• Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations
• Conducts technical workflow, process diagrams and gap analysis
• Evaluate existing application products that could address client requirements and make recommendations where appropriate
• Document and refine system modifications
• Coordinate Installation and first-use of new applications
• Resolve issues related to an application (new or current) involving, as required, team members, vendors, clients, etc.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams

Business System Analyst

This Business System Analyst position is a great opportunity for an experienced Technology & Business professional to gain valuable experience and further their careers within the IT & Business fields. You will be serving as a key link between cross-functional teams which include the likes of business stakeholders, IT Staff, project managers, developers, and UX Designers. Identifying and documenting functional requirements and analyzing data to conduct workflows, process diagrams and gap analysis.

To excel in this position, you should be an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of business processes and BSA techniques. The ideal candidate will also be dedicated, hard-working and demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work well independently and with teams to finish projects in a timely & efficient manner.
