Job summary

Swift Transportation is seeking an operations-minded professional to join our Security Operations Center in the United States. You will triage events, analyze data, and coordinate with HR, Safety and Operations to prevent loss and maintain safety across locations.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication, calm de-escalation, and accountability. This role requires night shifts (1600–0200 Wed–Sat) and proficiency with common office software.

Qualifications

• Personnel Management Skills: discuss problems and offer supportive guidance while handling multiple crises.
• Communication and Writing Skills: produce reports, deliver oral presentations, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze movements of equipment and cargo across the US to deter theft and safety concerns.
• Triage emergency calls for all brands and locations, coordinating with HR, Safety, and Security teams.
• Perform data-base analysis to predict short-term events and identify operational risks.
• Conduct location analysis using maps to follow target sites nationwide.
• Analyze events to determine when, where, and who was involved.
• Review messages to identify patterns and fill missing information.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and assist leadership with duties, including yard security tasks.

Pay Range:$21.51 - $24.00 Hourly

Hours: 1600hours to 0200 Wednesday-Saturday

We’re seeking an operations-minded problem solverwho can triage multiple events at once, make timely and defensible decisions with incomplete information, and proactively escape to the right stakeholders before risks compound. The ideal candidate demonstrates calm de‑escalation, clear written and verbal communication, honesty and accountability (including learning from mistakes), and effective teamwork across Operations, Safety, and HR. They are comfortable with everyday computer tools and systems, can synthesize data into concise briefs, and flex as situations evolve.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Monitor and analyze the movements of all designated equipment and cargo across the US within set established perimeters of the Loss Prevention and Safety Policies. Evaluate situations based on location, activity and time; in order to eliminate and/or deter theft, loss and safety concerns to employees. Triage all emergency calls for all brands and locations across the country, including HR, Safety, Physical Security and other departments that are not 24/7. This is a Security Operations Center, not a Uniform Security guard position.

• Data Base Analysis: Utilize a database of varied information, both current and historical, in order as to predict short-term future events. Use the available information and deduce problem areas in operations and practice.
• Location Analysis: Read and use all types of maps (computer and hard copy) on the local PC and the Internet. Conduct searches and ''Back (Reverse) Analysis''. Utilize the computer-based mapping program to find/follow target locations across the entire United States, as well as in cities and small towns.
• Event Analysis: Review a series of completed events and deduce what has happened; when this incident happened; in what order and who was involved. Work with (at times) very limited information and still come up with an answer.
• Communications Analysis: Review exchanged messages and develop an event pattern. Fill in missing information using Location and Event Analysis findings. Understand the language patterns and abbreviations used in the different messages.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership, this may include "guard related" activities in the yard.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

• Decision Making Sills: Make a decision based off of the information as a result of the analysis done. Be familiar enough with the system to make the best decisions resulting in what is best for the company. Decide when it is best to seek additional help and when to refer to those above to make the final decision, as required. Timely sound decisions are very essential.
• Personnel Management Skills: Discuss with individuals, different problems and make sound supportive suggestions that best help/suit the issue. Be able to deal with difficult individuals that feel the situation is of crisis proportion. Be able to handle more than one crisis at a time.
• Communication and Writing Skills: Generate written and presentation reports that are correct in content and construction. Conduct oral reports and be ready to provide answers to most any question. Be able to work with the different computer programs to generate and store the needed reports.
• Computer Skills: Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Edge, Chrome, Access
