Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening operations for explosives and hazardous materials using trained Explosive Detection Canines.
• Maintain administrative records related to work and training.
• Care for, house, and ensure the welfare of assigned canines.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to obtain TSA Pre-Check (Known Traveler Number)
• Proficiency in English for instructions comprehension

Special Requirements:

• Complete TSA third-party Canine Handler Certification (provided by GK9PG)
• Complete Global K9 Solutions Explosive Detection Canine Cargo Handler Course (8 weeks for non-experienced, 4 weeks for experienced handlers) in Opelika, AL

Pathway to direct hire is available pending K9 review and certification from recognized training courses.
