A leading nonprofit organization seeks a Full-Time Social Worker to support caregivers in aging-related challenges. Responsibilities include individual coaching, group facilitation, and community relationship building. This position is vital in delivering essential resources and education, ensuring quality support for families and caregivers.
Caregiving and Aging Social Worker (Full-Time, 40 hours a week)
The FamilyMeans’ Caregiving and Aging program is currently seeking a Full-time Social Worker! The purpose of this position is to provide assessment, support, and resource referral services to family and friend caregivers of persons of any age and assist individuals, families, and the community through challenges that can accompany aging. This position is fundamental to the Caregiving & Aging program’s success as this individual assesses the variety of caregiver circumstances presented, offers and implements a spectrum of services, balances the immediacy of family needs with the availability of appropriate support, and manages transitions between in-person and virtual programming as environmental circumstances dictate.
This role is an salary, exempt position that would work 40 hours per week. Primary location for this position would include the agency’s Stillwater, MN office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: % of Total Time
Provide Individual Caregiver Coaching and Consultation Using Evidence-Based and Other Best Practice Models (55%)
Facilitate Caregiver Support Groups and Lead Caregiver Education Classes (15%)
Initiate and Facilitate Respite Services (5%)
Work to expand relationships with a broad spectrum of community members (5%)
• Nurture reciprocal connections with other organizations that serve diverse communities.
• Develop and maintain awareness of unique needs of various cultural groups.
• Participate with the team in adapting services to meet emerging needs.
Administrative (10%)
Keep Abreast of Caregiving and Aging Best Practices (5%)

Minimum Qualifications
Education, Licenses and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work is required; a master’s degree in social work is preferred. Recent Graduates are welcome to apply.
An active Minnesota social work license is required.
Minnesota Caregiver Coaching, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, and REACH training preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands:
The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
While most job duties will be located in office, this position requires the ability to drive within the service area, to interview caregivers and provide needed support. Must have the ability to freely move between and around locations. The incumbent must be able to read and write extensively, to hear, to speak and to see. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to use hands to handle, grip or touch objects, tools or controls; occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 20 pounds; and at times, sit for extended periods of up to several hours. Individuals must be able and willing to do this work on the phone or on the screen, providing services virtually as needed. Equipment used includes, but is not limited to, computers, automobile, telephone, fax machine and copier.
Mental demands of this position include comprehension, reasoning (including the ability to combine pieces of information to form a conclusion), and decision-making. Requires the ability to maintain sensitivity to employee and client diversity and demonstrate respectful treatment of others. Must be adaptable and respond effectively to changes in situations or information.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
The working environment is a combination of commuting while driving within the service area to interview caregivers and provide needed support, office (onsite) work, and remote work as needed. The environment also includes virtual platforms when providing virtual/remote services as needed.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm (may vary occasionally due to client and business needs)
Pay: Salary, range from $59,638-$71,566
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Long - term disability, PTO, Paid Holidays, 403B + 3% core contribution after 1 year of service.
