Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking caregivers to provide companion care and support to clients in their homes in Mississippi. You will offer conversation, assist with daily activities, light housekeeping, meal planning, and errands while ensuring safety and respect for the client’s independence.

Responsibilities include medication reminders, household tasks, and transportation using the client’s vehicle. A valid driver’s license and background check are required to begin employment.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level.
• Driver's license with no serious driving violations.
• Pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
• Willing to check with supervisor if unsure about duties.

HIRING CAREGIVERS!!!!

This job description outlines your primary responsibilities as a caregiver. This description is not meant to be an exhaustive list of services, as the exact duties to be performed for each assignment will vary. Prior to beginning a new assignment, Senior Helpers will provide you with background information about your client and review any special needs this client may have.

Objective: To provide professional caregiver services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with household and family support services.

Reports to: Office Manager

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Companionship & conversation
• Light housekeeping
• Household management
• Errands
• Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
• Meal planning & preparation
• Laundry & linen changing
• Medication reminders
• Transportation using client’s vehicle

Other Requirements

• Document activities in the Care Plan Binder daily (if applicable).
• Report any significant client changes to the office immediately.
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlines in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual.
