Job summary

Home Instead is hiring part-time caregivers to support aging adults at home with dignity, care, and compassion. Care Pros provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and reminders for medications and appointments.

Training is provided to ensure skills for grooming, mobility, continence care, and emotional wellbeing. A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required, with a minimum 20 hours per week and weekend flexibility.

Home Instead is hiring part-time caregivers to perform the essential work of keeping aging adults safe and comfortable at home. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with Dignity, Care and Compassion.

Duties Include, But Not Limited To

• Companionship and conversation


• Light housekeeping tasks and meal prep


• Medication and appointment reminders


• Assistance with grooming and bathing


• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues


• Alzheimers/Dementia Care

Prior caregiving experience is preferred but Not Required.

Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers—we call ours Care Professionals, or Care Pros for short—will go through specific training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. After training, our Care Pros will feel confident going into the client’s home and helping to support their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.

Requirements To Be a Home Instead Care Pro Are

• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect


• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner


• Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness


• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance


• Must be available to work a schedule of a minium of 20hrs a week, with weekend flexibility
