Cherished Companions is seeking a Chief Happiness Officer (Caregiver) to join our Ohio home-care team. You’ll provide compassionate, client-centered care in clients’ homes across the Chagrin Falls–Solon–Twinsburg area, with driving required and a strong emphasis on companionship and dignity.

We offer a competitive $16.00/hour starting pay with a differential for short shifts, full or part-time schedules, overtime, paid training, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Driver's license and a vehicle for client visits.
• Willing to drive up to 30 minutes to reach clients' homes.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent communication skills with empathy and listening ability.
• Deep understanding of needs and challenges faced by patients and families at end of life.
• Ability to bring joy and create memorable moments for clients.
• We hire STNAs, HHAs, MAs, PCAs, nursing students, retirees, and others with a heart for care.

Job Title

Location

Pay

4-12 hr shifts: $16.00 per hour. $1-$2 pay differential for short shifts (shifts 2-3 hours in length). Numerous ways to advance & make more $$$!

• Providing compassionate and personalized care to our patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and peace of mind.
• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
• Offering emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, creating a nurturing and reassuring presence.
• Channeling your inner Martha Stewart to whip up culinary masterpieces (or at least edible creations) in the kitchen.
• Channeling your inner superhero to tackle household chores and errands with finesse (cape optional).
• Keeping spirits high with your top-notch joke-telling skills and infectious laughter.
• Providing personalized care that would make even Mary Poppins proud.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• A valid driver's license & vehicle (to embark on epic grocery store runs and pharmacy adventures).
• Willing to drive up to 30 minutes to get to clients' homes.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy and understanding.
• A deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by patients and families at the end of life.
• A knack for turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories.
• The ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations, because laughter truly is the best medicine.
• We hire State Tested Nursing Aides (STNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), nursing students, retired nurses, retirees (from any field),empty-nesters, OR anyone else with a heart & desire to care for others, who are willing to learn and become a professional caregiver.
