Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver will provide assistance to individuals in their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.


Responsibilities:

  1. Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  2. Provide companionship and emotional support.
  3. Help with meal preparation and medication reminders.
  4. Perform light housekeeping tasks.
  5. Escort clients to appointments and run errands.
  6. Monitor and report changes in client's health status.
  7. Implement behavior management techniques when necessary.

Skills:

  1. Experience in assisted living or senior care environments.
  2. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  3. Proficiency in caregiving techniques.
  4. Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  5. Familiarity with home care systems.
  6. Background in childcare, social work, or related fields.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Competence in meal preparation for special dietary needs.

What you will be doing: Assisting clients with activities of daily living. Services may include, but are not limited to, activity of daily living support, personal care, bathing/toileting, medication reminding, light housekeeping, personal laundry, cooking, shopping, assistance in getting to and from appointments, maintenance of household records, and companionship.


Job Requirements:

  1. Valid ID and Social Security Card - (Required)
  2. 1 year of experience or equivalent - (Required)
  3. Driver's License - (Preferred)
  4. Ability to commute/relocate: North/Western Suburbs: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time


Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
