Job summary

Right at Home Tucson is seeking caregivers to support clients in their homes, delivering personal care and companionship. You will assist with daily living activities, help with mobility, meals, errands, and light housekeeping, while promoting independence and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Level 1 Fingerprint card required.
• CPR certification required.
• TB test (Tuberculosis) required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Pass a background check.
• Drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring/moving the client within the home.
• Perform housekeeping tasks (vacuum, dust, clean, laundry, dishes).
• Prepare meals and snacks as instructed.
• Accompany client to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and shaving.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Provide dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving the client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying the client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Level 1 Fingerprint card
