Job summary

Right at Home is seeking a Part-Time Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home support to seniors in Pasadena, Covina and surrounding areas. Flexible hours include 4- to 6-hour shifts with up to 24 hours per week, with training provided.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship, while maintaining safety and independence for clients. We offer weekly pay, paid training, health insurance options for eligible employees, 401(k),

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current TB test within the last 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Valid drivers license with reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• Active California HCA registration preferred.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance.
• Offer medication reminders.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Transport clients to errands and appointments.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Support clients with dementia and memory care needs.
• Assist with prescribed ROM exercises.

Skills

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate in-home support to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Responsibilities include:

• Ability to pass a background check

• Active California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration preferred

• CNA, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification is a plus, but not required

• Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese is a plus, but not required
