Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their own homes.

Specific Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transferring between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Help with toileting needs, including bedpan, commode, and toilet use.
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency management.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.

Support clients with household tasks essential to their personal care.

Education and Experience

Preferred Experience

• At least six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a reliable vehicle or transportation.
• CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• KY: No additional requirements.
