Job summary

TheKey is seeking dedicated caregivers in Napa, California. This part-time position (4-6 hours daily) may turn into a full-time role. Caregivers must have reliable transportation and must be available on weekends to assist clients with medical appointments and outings.

The ideal candidate should possess at least a year of professional caregiving experience, show compassion and empathy, and have the drive to help seniors live independently and with dignity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year professional caregiving experience required.
• Experience with Alzheimer's or Dementia is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Overview

Location: Mostly in the city of Napa, and occasionally Yountville and St Helena.

Now hiring:

• Part-time- 4-6 hours daily (could eventually turn into full time position)

• Caregiver drivers for medical appointments and outings is amust! (Must have own vehicle, up to date registration and car insurance)

What You Will Do:

You will have the ultimate responsibility to help implement customized care plans that encompass solutions to nurture the whole person in mind, body and spirit. You will be providing impeccable care to clients by assisting in scheduled activities as well as overall care management. You will treat your clients like family, going above and beyond to enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Delivering exceptional care to the dedicated client in their home
• Help execute comprehensive personalized weekly schedules and care plans
• Complete daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (ADLs)
• Supply personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client by providing ongoing social & emotional support
• Assist with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation
• Keep order, safety and client enjoyment top of mind at all times
• Administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and report changes in the client’s physical condition, mental capability or behavior

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

• Must have a minumum of 1 year professional caregiving experience (applicants with less than 1 year of professional caregiving experience will be automatically disqualified)
• Reliable transportation and valid Drivers License
• Alzheimer's or Dementia experience is a plus
• Empathy, compassion and kindness a MUST
• Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations
• Must be reliable, dependable and on time
• Basic computer skills as well as overall technical savviness
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Can pass a background check and provide references
