Job summary

Independent Home Health is hiring dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to individuals in their homes. You’ll build meaningful relationships and help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

No professional caregiving experience? That’s okay — if you’re reliable, patient and enjoy helping others, we’d love to talk with you. Starting pay ranges from $15–$17 per hour depending on case type.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to complete required background checks.
• Be dependable, caring and patient.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Help with mobility and everyday activities.
• Prepare meals.
• Complete light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with errands or appointments when needed.

Pay

• $15/hour – Waiver cases
• $16 to $17/hour – VA and Private Pay cases

What You’ll Do

Depending on the needs of the individual you’re supporting, you may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Help with mobility and everyday activities
• Prepare meals
• Complete light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and conversation
• Assist with errands or appointments when needed
• Follow the individual’s care plan
• Document the services you provide

What We’re Looking For

You must:

• Be 18 years of age or older

Previous caregiving experience is welcome, but it is not required.

Experience as a caregiver, direct care worker, personal care aide, home health aide, PCA, HHA or CNA is a plus.
