Job summary

Guardian Angels Homecare is seeking an attentive caregiver for a Monday–Friday 9am–4pm shift in Waterbury. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, assistance with daily living activities, and reliable communication with clients and family members.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year in home care, a valid driver's license with a personal insured vehicle, and strong English reading/writing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year home care experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• A valid driver's license and your own insured vehicle.
• Able to perform housework and cooking.
• Hoyer lift experience is a plus.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Helping with bathing/personal care/grooming/dressing/undressing
• Support clients who can't move on their own/turning/positioning/transferring
• Monitor skin care/observation/treatment
• Ensure client receives their medication on time/Cues
• Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment/Making bed
• Laundry
• Meal Preparation/Planning according to client's restrictions/Feeding
• Grocery shopping/Errands/Accompany to medical appointments
• Socialization/Conversation/Emotional support
