Job summary

Altra Homecare of Kokomo is seeking caring and reliable Personal Care Assistants to provide in-home support for clients in Wabash, Indiana. As a Wabash Caregiver, you will deliver personal care, light housekeeping, and companionship to help clients maintain independence and quality of life.

This role offers competitive pay of $14-$16 per hour, weekly pay, overtime and holiday pay, flexible scheduling, direct deposit, and a supportive team environment dedicated to meaningful, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, follow care instructions, and document services.
• Willingness to complete required training.
• Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Support safe mobility and ambulation
• Assist with range-of-motion exercises
• Take and record vital signs (such as temperature)
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide companionship (conversation, reading, letter writing)
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Complete required documentation and follow care plans
• Follow privacy and infection control guidelines
